Saturday, February 4 2012 Welcome to the Greater Moncton Family Resource Center! The Moncton-Dieppe Centre is one of 13 Family Resource Centres   in New Brunswick. Our project has been established since 1995 and operates under the Community Action Program for Children. The organisation is funded mainly by The Public Health Agency of Canada, partly by the Social development since 2008. Our mission is to offer families with children 0-6, free educational and recreational activities to assist parents in their role and promote healthy family living in a secure and respectful environment. Programs are offered in both official languages. We operate under an inclusive philosophy, which aims to support all families including families with particular needs. In fact, in the past year we have moved toward an inclusion concept that celebrate the differences and offer services to better meet the needs of our participants, for both parent and children. New sensory equipment has been installed in the playroom to help all of the children explore and express their unique way to communicate and interact with each other.  For many, it has been a positive experience at maximizing their learning possibilities while playing in a larger group. Many types of activities and workshop are offered throughout the year, from parenting classes to readiness for school, we provide countless opportunities for your family to socialize, to learn and for some, to contribute to our organisation. The Blue Butterfly Parent Support Group (For families with special needs children) The parent support group meets on a monthly basis, every third Wednesday from 6:30-8:00 Pm, here at the Resource Centre.  The families share their life perspectives, challenges, expertise and useful resources. Together, we organize workshops and invite special guest, to create new opportunities to improve our children chances to become the best they can be.
